St. Łukasz Hospital:
Thanks to the reconstruction of the Emergency Department, we increased its existing area of 650 m² by more than 300 m². With nearly 1,000 m² of modernised space, St. Łukasz Hospital in Bolesławiec is among the largest emergency departments in Lower Silesia. The total investment cost more than PLN 7 million, of which PLN 6 million was a grant from the Ministry of Health. Construction work cost almost PLN 5 million, while medical equipment cost more than PLN 2 million. For logistical and patient-safety reasons during the holiday period, we decided that treatment of patients in the new space would begin only on January 9, 2023.
For a long time, we had sought to increase the number of available stations in our Emergency Department. Thanks to the expansion, the number of stations increased from 15 to 25. The structure of the new Emergency Department also includes Night and Holiday Healthcare. The new rooms and equipment meet strict regulations and the highest standards, meaning that the Bolesławiec Emergency Department is undoubtedly now one of the most modern and finest emergency departments in Lower Silesia.
For three years, St. Łukasz Hospital in Bolesławiec has been developing intensively and striving to improve the quality of healthcare and patient comfort to meet 21st-century standards. Improved infrastructure and modern technology primarily benefit patients by improving treatment and inpatient conditions, as well as working conditions for employees. Due to its special nature, this investment makes it possible to secure access for Bolesławiec County and neighbouring counties to critical medical services so highly needed in the local market.
Through further projects, St. Łukasz Hospital is undoubtedly entering an era of modern treatment and the highest-quality standards that will serve the residents of Bolesławiec County and Lower Silesia for many years. It should be noted that further investments lie ahead, as there is undoubtedly a need for the continued development and expansion of the hospital in Bolesławiec.
