On Friday, June 25, the first edition of the Rock Meetings took place on the sports field in Kruszyn. The event attracted several dozen fans of this genre of music. “Together with Beata Widera from GOKiS, we thought that a rock concert should be organized. Not much happens in this respect in the Bolesławiec Rural Municipality, and I want to promote this kind of music,” Leszek Krawczewski, one of the event’s originators, told us.
That day, the following groups performed on stage: Random, Kupa Złomu, Engines of Creation (all from Bolesławiec), and Guardian of Death from Węgliniec. Fans of rock in its broadest sense could not complain about boredom: it was lively and energetic, while also varied. The evening’s headline act was Plamka from Szprotawa.
During the concert, attendees could vote for their favorite band. The audience award went to Bolesławiec’s Kupa Złomu.
The event was organized by the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyn. The next edition of the Rock Meetings will take place next year.
