As reported by the Polish Film Institute:

Jan Nowicki, a theatre, film and television actor, as well as a director, teacher, writer and poet, has died at the age of 83. He played nearly 200 roles, including in productions such as “The Unburied”, “Big Szu”, “The Magnate”, “Spiral” and “The Hourglass Sanatorium”. For over 30 years, he was associated with the National Old Theatre in Kraków.

It is also worth adding that J. Nowicki visited the City of Ceramics, and in 2007, a meeting with him was held at the Orzeł cinema in Bolesławiec.
