A Reader informed us about the case. The incident occurred on the night of November 25–26. Sołtys and Dom Kultury instructor Elżbieta Grabowska:
(...) a break-in occurred at Dom Kultury in Czerwona Woda. Many items and pieces of equipment belonging to the facility’s furnishings were stolen:
- 2 laptops,
- an air fryer,
- a waffle maker,
- an iron,
- a propane-butane gas cylinder,
- a bubble machine,
- a device for making soap bubbles,
- a speaker tower.
All of this was purchased from the village fund and constituted the joint property of the residents of Czerwona Woda. It was also used by children attending activities at the community center.
In addition, sweets intended for the children to receive from Santa Claus were stolen:
- 100 chocolate bars in various flavors,
- 28 packets of breadsticks,
- 100 Lubisie teddy bears,
- 100 packets of sweets,
- 200 balloons,
- food coloring.
She adds:
The sweets were purchased thanks to donations from local businesses and a donation from the director of Carrefour in Zgorzelec. All the items for the packages were purchased thanks to kind-hearted people and my efforts. All I can do is regretfully thank “Santa Claus” for the enormous distress caused to the children of Czerwona Woda.
She adds: – If anyone has information about the incident, the perpetrators or the stolen items that may be offered at attractive prices, please contact me at: 694 135 995 or the Police. A reward is offered for help in apprehending the perpetrators.
Let us remind you: burglary is punishable by imprisonment ranging from one to as many as ten years.
