On 19 November, members of the Youth Fire Brigades, accompanied by their supervisors from Karkonosze County, visited the State Fire Service Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Bolesławiec. The young firefighters had the opportunity to see the equipment used by firefighters in Bolesławiec.
They were particularly impressed by the rescue vehicles operated by the Bolesławiec Specialist Technical Rescue Group: a SCANIA MEGA CITY tow truck and an SCRt Volvo equipped with a very large amount of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, as well as electrically powered tools.
The firefighters explained in what circumstances the fire service should be called, while the children reinforced their knowledge of the emergency numbers 998 and 112.
The trip was attended by 43 children and 11 supervisors, led by dh Stanisław Ogrodowczyk, vice-president of the Municipal Board of ZOSP RP in Jelenia Góra.
