The scope of work on the revitalization of the municipal gardens includes: modernization of the lighting, illumination of the greenery, renovation of the paths, introduction of bicycle routes, repairs to retaining walls and stairs, as well as illumination of existing structures and defensive walls.

The fountain on Bankowa Street will also be renovated. The vegetation will change as well. The municipal authorities have planned 94 thousand new plantings, which will be completed this year. Terraced gardens will appear on Kubika Street. The aim of these measures is to restore the revitalized area’s historic character and increase the city’s tourist appeal.
An interactive fountain is being built in the Market Square. The structure will be covered with stone slabs. The fountain will shimmer in various colors, forming water displays.
The Bolesławiec project “Improving the Appeal and Image of the Old Town – Stage II of the Renovation of the Main Market Square and Municipal Gardens” received 55% co-financing from EU funds. The project’s total value is PLN 7,111,676.70.
