A reader asked us to publish material about Kuba, a homeless young man from Szczytnica. Fundraising organizer:
He has only just turned 18. He is ill, helpless and homeless. Doctors say he requires care and is unable to cope on his own.
The teenager’s family situation is complicated (more in the TVN program “Uwagi!” report). The fundraiser’s initiator:
The helpless boy moved into a derelict building at risk of collapse; that is where we found him. Dirty and hungry. (...)
Thanks primarily to the support of two residents of Szczytnica, who reported the matter, among others, to the Municipal Social Welfare Center in Warta Bolesławiecka, the young man was taken to a shelter in Bolesławiec. Fundraising organizer:
He has food there, but his needs are still considerable. Warm clothes and winter shoes need to be bought, and Kuba needs a comprehensive medical examination. It would also be worth considering renting him a place to live, at least for a short time, because a homeless shelter is not a suitable place for a boy with anxiety and adaptation problems.
She adds:
Kuba will soon undergo comprehensive examinations, and we also hope that a place will be found where he could live and adapt to adult life.
How can you help?
