Jerzy Urban was a journalist, columnist, satirist, writer and politician. He was a controversial figure.

As we read in Wikipedia:

From 1981 to 1989, he was the press spokesman for the Council of Ministers of the Polish People's Republic, and during this period he was one of the principal authors of state propaganda and censorship. From April to September 1989, he served as a minister-member of the Council of Ministers and chairman of the Committee for Radio and Television “Polskie Radio i Telewizja”. From 1990 to 2022, he was editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine “NIE” and owner of Urma, the company that published it.
