On Thursday (September 29), before noon, a rather unusual road incident occurred on provincial road No. 364. A wheel fell off a car travelling from Złotoryja towards Legnica. It happened while the vehicle was in motion. The female driver can consider herself very lucky. She managed to regain control of the car and stop it on the road, thereby avoiding a serious road incident, while the wheel did not hit any other vehicle.
In view of the incident, the police are appealing to drivers to regularly check the wheels on their cars. Let us take particular care to do so during the upcoming autumn and winter season, when we will be replacing summer tyres with winter ones. After visiting a service centre, let us check that the bolts have been properly tightened in order to prevent similar situations in the future.
