The September session of Bolesławiec City Council is behind us. However, before the chairperson Józef Pokładek concluded the proceedings, councillor Dariusz Filistyński took the floor:
I am making a statement. I kindly inform you (...), that as of today, i.e. 28 September this year, I am resigning as a [funkcji] member of the Bezpartyjni i Ziemia Bolesławiecka councillors’ caucus.
He added:
My decision is personal. It is also connected, among other things, with a different position—and I emphasise this—regarding investments on the former grounds of the Gross-Rosen concentration and extermination camp subcamps: Bunzlau I and Bunzlau II.
He also noted that he directed “special words of gratitude” to those councillors who had supported him and his family in recent years.
– Let me just remind you that the City is not carrying out any investments on these grounds – said Piotr Roman, mayor of Bolesławiec, responding to the words of the now-former councillor of the governing coalition in the City of Bolesławiec.Piotr Roman.
It is not yet known whether D. Filistyński will join the PiS or Impuls Miasta councillors’ caucus.
