Father Józef Hupa is the parish priest of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Bolesławiec, in the Kwiatowe housing estate. He has been connected with our city for 16 years. Previously, he served as a priest in Legnica (6 years) and Bogatynia (3 years).
On Tuesday, June 1, Father Hupa celebrated the 25th anniversary of his priesthood together with his parishioners. The church was full during the Mass held for his intention; more than two hundred people attended.
– I am here for these people because I was sent for them. I help them grow in holiness. Of course, it is mutual. It is like good upbringing. In order to raise someone well, I myself must be well brought up. I get involved. Seeing this, people act in the same way – says Father Józef Hupa.
The parish priest speaks about himself jokingly, saying that he is a lazy guy and lets others take action. – Young people from the parish have wonderful ideas; they should be given a chance. They praise God as best they can. All you need to do is trust them a little – Father Hupa explains the reasons for his popularity among young people.
