Bolesławiec police on the incident:
(…) On September 12, a fatal accident occurred on the A4 motorway, toward Wrocław. A 25-year-old truck driver was hit after pulling into the emergency lane for technical reasons. The driver of the delivery vehicle that hit the pedestrian was sober.
Procedural activities were carried out at the scene under the supervision of a prosecutor.
Police officers are currently investigating the causes of this tragic road incident.
And adds:
We appeal to drivers travelling on the motorway to remain vigilant and adjust their speed to the prevailing road conditions. Increasingly frequent autumn weather may negatively affect drivers’ concentration, so it is worth taking breaks more often. Changing conditions also reduce pedestrians’ visibility, so reflective elements should always be used.
Let us recall. Yesterday we reported:
A truck driver was fatally struck by another vehicle. According to preliminary information, the truck driver stopped in the motorway’s emergency lane because of a punctured tyre. He got out of the vehicle to change it and was then fatally struck by the driver of a van.
The fire service, an emergency medical team and the police are at the scene.
Police are determining the details of the tragic incident.
