Bolesławiec detectives established who used a card belonging to a woman who had lost a pouch containing personal belongings, and when and where it was used. The 21-year-old readily took advantage of the opportunity. – At night he appropriated it, and during the day he used the card twice, making contactless payments for purchases – reports staff sergeant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.
She adds: – The Bolesławiec resident was arrested, and the lost property was recovered.
That was not the end of it. It also emerged that the young Bolesławiec resident was wanted because he had a prison sentence to serve for… misappropriation of property and theft. The man will spend the coming months in prison. He now also faces an additional sentence of one to 10 years behind bars.
