Prices at fuel stations are changing like a kaleidoscope. This year, petrol has already been cheaper than diesel. Then it equalled its price and for a short time was even more expensive. Now it is cheaper again—by as much as one zloty per litre. The latest trend at fuel stations is that petrol is getting cheaper while diesel is becoming more expensive. It is difficult to explain what this results from. Producing petrol is a more complicated process than producing diesel.
Prices per litre of fuel at the Lotos station in Bolesławiec, at Zgorzelecka Street, on 28 August:
- Pb95 – 6.59 PLN
- Diesel – 7.59 PLN
- LPG – 3.09 PLN
On the one hand, petrol car drivers are pleased that the price of this fuel has fallen (let us recall that petrol has already cost around 8 PLN per litre). On the other hand, diesel is becoming more expensive, and the economy, as well as the transport of goods and people, relies on it. Rising diesel prices lead to higher costs and an overall increase in prices, which affects us all, regardless of which fuel we use. This fact is not very encouraging.
