On Wednesday (24 August), in Nowogrodziec, local side Chrobry hosted BKS Bolesławiec’s first team in the second round of the Regional Polish Cup. Bolesławiec’s team played with 10 men from the second minute. BKS goalkeeper Dawid Kizyma was shown a red card for a foul and had to leave the pitch. Kuba Kwoczka, who normally plays as a midfielder, took his place in goal.
Despite being short-handed, the fourth-tier side had the advantage and more chances to score. The score was 0–0 at half-time. After the break, BKS took the lead with a goal by Gabriel Piotrowski. Chrobry equalised through Adrian Kulesza. However, BKS had the final say in the match. The winning goal was scored by Gabriel Piotrowski, who had a good game. The goal came from a fine shot from outside the penalty area. Chrobry Nowogrodziec – BKS Bolesławiec 1–2 (0–0).
Update
In the third round of the Regional Polish Cup, BKS Bolesławiec will face KS Łomnica. The draw took place at the DZPN Jelenia Góra headquarters. BKS will play the cup match away on 7 September at 5:30 p.m.
