During the Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival, the Bolesławiec Stair Run – Run for the Ceramic Cup was held in the Bolesławiec City Hall skyscraper as part of the Sportively Ceramics event. It was organized by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center in Bolesławiec under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Bolesławiec Piotr Roman. A total of 52 participants—26 women and 26 men—took part in the event.
Participants had to climb 9 floors (184 steps). After reaching the top floor, the competitors received a ceramic cup filled with water from the judge and carried it to the finish line. At the finish, the water brought in was measured, and for each unit of water missing compared with the starting level, the competitor received additional penalty seconds, which were added to the time achieved in the run.
