Angelika Haniszewska and Marek Wojnowicz, representatives of UKS Tukan Iwiny, took part in the International Baltic Cup Competition (for personal reasons, Małgosia Szeliga was unable to attend the tournament). It was the final stage of the selection process for the junior national team for the European Orienteering Championships, which will be held in Spain at the beginning of July.
Angelika won the first stage of the selection process, while Marek finished only sixth. On the second day of the competition, both took third place. On the final day, Angelika finished only twelfth, while Marek took third place.
Both Angelika and Marek have moved into third place in the ranking for the national team and have a chance to compete in the championships in Spain. Now everything rests with the national team coach and the board of the Polish Orienteering Association.
