Municipal Office:

The Lower Silesian Voivode has announced the initiation of administrative proceedings concerning the issuance of a permit for the implementation of a road project involving the expansion and reconstruction of national road no. 94 (formerly no. 4), together with the construction (demolition and construction) of a road bridge over the Bóbr River in the city of Bolesławiec.

And adds:

The administrative proceedings were initiated at the request of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways – the investor behind the project “Expansion of the transport system together with the reconstruction of the existing bridge and construction of a new bridge over the Bóbr River along national road no. 94 (formerly no. 4) in Bolesławiec, Lower Silesian Voivodeship”.

What will be done?

The project will involve reconstructing the existing bridge and building a second bridge carriageway. As a result, the single-carriageway road with a bridge will become a dual-carriageway route with two parallel bridges over the Bóbr River (each carrying one carriageway).

Each bridge will have two traffic lanes, a pavement and a cycle path. So-called roundabouts are planned at the ends of the structures.

In addition, bus bays will be moved outside the main traffic-flow zone (with bus platforms constructed), stormwater drainage and road lighting will be built, and conflicts with the telecommunications, power, water and gas networks will be removed.

When will work begin and when will it be completed?

According to the plans of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, once the road project permit has been obtained, a tender for the construction works will be announced. The project is planned for 2023–2025.
