After a series of interventions related to fires in wastelands, forests and crops, it seemed that firefighters would be able to catch their breath during the rainy Saturday. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Firefighters from OSP Różyniec:
Another day of challenges—yesterday, scorching heat and fires. We were pleased that it was raining, that humidity would increase and there would be no fires, but the ground is so dry that it does not absorb the water, and everything runs off the fields.
The result? Firefighters: – Since morning, there have already been two interventions related to flooding.
They add:
The first flooded basement was in Szczytnica; the second—work is still underway at the petrol station in Różyniec.
