On Saturday, 15 May, Museum Night will take place in Bolesławiec. From 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., visitors will be able to explore the temporary exhibition and permanent exhibitions free of charge in the Museum of Ceramics buildings (at 13 Mickiewicza Street and 14 Kutuzowa Street).
Throughout the day, visitors will have a unique opportunity to purchase museum publications with a discount of up to 30%! Academic staff will be available to provide anyone interested with information, guidance and expert opinions on events or objects connected with the history and culture of the city.
Visitors will also be able to see:
- short historical films: “Bolesławiec Viaduct”, “Bolesławiec as a Napoleonic Fortress” and films from the “History Written by Life” series (Department of the History of the City, 14 Kutuzowa Street)
- short films about Bolesławiec ceramics: “Created from Clay” and “Ceramics from Reinhold’s Factory” (Department of Ceramics, 13 Mickiewicza Street)
- a multimedia presentation about a visit to the Russian Museum of Artillery in Saint Petersburg—the results of the trip and prospects for cooperation with a museum whose collections include exhibits from the former Kutuzov Museum (Department of the History of the City, 14 Kutuzowa Street)
- a lecture with a multimedia presentation, “VIA FABRILIS: The Trail of Craft Traditions”, featuring its most interesting places and phenomena (Department of Ceramics, 13 Mickiewicza Street).
Staff will also talk about research and exhibition cooperation with other museums and plans for the coming years.
