At the beginning of May, an agreement was signed to carry out the project “Expansion of the OSP building in the village of Trzebień and purchase of a fire engine.” Bolesławiec municipality: – The construction site was handed over in mid-May 2022, and construction work began. The contractor is Zakład Ogólnobudowlany „Rogalski” Artur Rogalski, based in Bolesławiec. The total value of the project is PLN 3,758,880.
What work is currently being carried out?
The municipal authorities explain: – Currently, at the construction site, following the setting out of the new part of the building, earthworks and foundation work are under way.
What will be done?
The station will be expanded to include an entrance area and corridor, sanitary facilities comprising changing rooms, women’s washrooms and toilets. The expanded section will also contain a conference room and new storage rooms. Officials: – The facility will be adapted to the needs of the operating Volunteer Fire Service unit and brought into compliance with applicable regulations.
Importantly, the sanitary facilities in the building will be adapted for people with disabilities, and the entire facility will have all required installations. As part of the project, renovation work will also be carried out in the existing building:
- installation of a new floor in the existing garages,
- painting the rooms,
- delivery and installation of the station’s basic equipment.
Bolesławiec municipality:
The new rooms will provide social facilities for firefighters responding to incidents, as well as space for storing and maintaining rescue equipment. The conference room will be able to serve as the headquarters for rescue and firefighting operations and for the Crisis Management Team. Training for members of the Volunteer Fire Service and the Youth Fire Brigade will also be held there.
And adds:
In addition to the construction work, a medium-sized 4x4 firefighting and rescue vehicle will also be purchased. The vehicle’s specifications will allow it to be deployed for rescue and firefighting operations in hard-to-reach areas, such as forests, wasteland and farmland.
And emphasizes: – We hope that the new building and the firefighting and rescue vehicle will help improve the working conditions of volunteer firefighters.
The project received PLN 2,400,000 in funding from the Government Polish Deal Fund.
