The footbridge was closed for several days in July for routine maintenance necessary to keep it operational until the major renovation. Companies can submit bids for the tender until 15 July 2022. The renovation will be extensive and will include, among other things, repairs to the spans.
– The renovation of the footbridge over the Bóbr was planned in this year's city budget – says spokesperson Agnieszka Gergont. – The footbridge will remain open during the summer holidays and will be closed from September. Unless nobody submits a bid for the tender, in which case the renovation schedule will change – the spokesperson adds.
The popular crossing over the river must be renovated so that it remains safe and continues to serve residents.
