A student at the Janusz Korczak II General Secondary School in Bolesławiec, Denis Hruszkiewicz is the only Ukrainian in Lower Silesia to have passed the Polish matura exam on his first attempt. Interestingly, Polish was not the subject that caused the graduate the most difficulty, but rather extended-level physics and mathematics. These two subjects are no coincidence, since Denis plans to study at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, in a field related to the IT industry.
The Ukrainian graduate had been learning Polish for two years. This was not accidental either. First, he had planned to study at Wrocław University of Science and Technology even before that fateful 24 February. Second, his brother has been working at the district hospital in Bolesławiec for some time. (And now their mother is working there too.) Of course, the graduate himself did not foresee that he would have to arrive in our country so quickly...
Congratulations!
It is worth adding that graduates from Bolesławiec once again achieved the best results in this examination in all of Lower Silesia. Denis deserves some of the credit for this.
