On Sunday, May 9, a police officer noticed a 32-year-old man in the city park drinking beer from a can. The officer approached the man and informed him that consuming alcohol in a public place is prohibited. He added that the offense carries a PLN 100 fine. The 32-year-old offered the officer PLN 50 in exchange for abandoning the official proceedings.
The man was taken into police custody. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
