The story presented to us by the young refugees from Ukraine was moving and full of lyricism. In a very subtle and artistic way, these young people thanked us for the compassion shown to them.
– You have just watched the animation theatre performance Life Begins Again, performed by children and young people from Ukraine staying at CIK “Orzeł” – said BOK – MCC director Kornel Filipowicz at the gala. – The performance was created as evidence of gratitude for the assistance our city provided to Ukrainian citizens. And here is its message: Every story begins with the energy of love. Life is born on Earth. The strength and memory of our ancestors build a new world of happy and free people. However, the evil forces of misunderstanding and lust for power can deprive everyone living here of peace. Yet sincerity and unity are our strength, which can withstand every evil on this earth. That is why life triumphs and begins anew. I do not need to explain to you who these forces of evil are, or who the free and happy people are in the face of the cruelty of the war being waged beyond our eastern border. I would add that this beautiful Ukrainian music was performed by the DachaBracha ensemble from the Kyiv Centre for Contemporary Art, as well as by the group Odin v Kanoe in the song “I Have No Home” – the director added.
