As part of the competition, the following events were held:

  • a theoretical exam involving the completion of a firefighting knowledge test;
  • an individual event in which competitors complete a 150 m course. (Firefighting equipment is placed along the course and must be carried appropriately, and a fire must be extinguished using a dry-powder extinguisher);
  • a team event involving the regulation-compliant deployment of a ladder to the exercise tower;
  • a firefighting event involving the entire crew building a hose line, extinguishing a fire using a heavy-foam jet, and turning a target located at a distance from the nozzle operator with a solid water stream.
