On Tuesday, 4 May, work began to remove the surface on the Bolesławiec bypass. The work will continue until 30 May. The works began at the intersection of Dolne Młyny and Cieszkowskiego streets (near the Bader plant). The surface has been removed as far as the roundabout before the bridge on Zgorzelecka Street. Drivers should slow down before this section and cross the bypass carefully.
As Joanna Wąsiel, spokesperson for the Wrocław branch of GDDKiA, told us, work on the bypass has already been under way for half a year. “The renovation of the Bolesławiec bypass began in November 2009,” Wąsiel reports. “On 4 May this year, the investor moved on to the intensive stage of the works. The road surface will be replaced along a 2.5-kilometre section of the bypass. The drainage manholes will also be adjusted during the renovation.
