A citizen's arrest of a drunk driver took place on Saturday evening (18 June) in Bolesławiec. Paramedics from the Medical Rescue Team in Bolesławiec were driving along Kubika Street. At the intersection with Kutuzowa Street, the ambulance stopped to let a woman with children cross.
A minibus approached from the opposite direction. According to the paramedics, the man driving it barely managed to stop before the pedestrians and got into a verbal altercation with them. In addition, the paramedics noticed that the minibus driver did not look well. They therefore asked him to pull off the road, but he did not do so and drove on.
The paramedics did not give up, however, and followed the man. They managed to stop him on Grunwaldzka Street, near the music school. Another driver helped with the detention by blocking the man's vehicle with his own car. The minibus driver's keys were then taken away, and he was handed over to the police called to the scene.
