On Friday, 10 June, ten residents most involved in the life of the facility received the reward promised at the beginning of the school year – participation in activities at a shooting range. The trip took place thanks to the courtesy of the Lwówek Shooting and Collectors’ Club. Those recognised were: Łukasz, Patryk, Jakub, Patryk, Ryszard, Kamil, Bartłomiej, Paweł, Dominik and Bartosz.

During the activities, the residents learned about various types of weapons and were able to try shooting them several times. The meeting culminated in a mini shooting accuracy competition. Bartłomiej took first place with 66 points, Bartosz came second with 55 points, and Ryszard came third with 51 points.

All the participants proved through their responsible conduct that they had rightly been recognised. Mr Darek and Ms Asia watched over safety during the trip.

The residents and educators of the Powiat Youth Educational Centre in Iwiny extend their heartfelt thanks to the Lwówek Shooting and Collectors’ Club for the opportunity to spend time in an unusual way learning about the intricacies of weapons and shooting. We thank Jakub and Jerzy for their time, kindness and for enabling us to develop our interests.
