Bolesławiec criminal investigators, as a result of intensive operational activities, identified and arrested two men suspected of breaking into a truck trailer and stealing the goods being transported. KPP Bolesławiec:

The perpetrators took advantage of the TIR truck’s extended stop at one of the car parks in Bolesławiec County. On the last day of May, under cover of darkness, they drove up to the truck and broke into its trailer. They then stole packs of beverages, which they loaded into a passenger car.

The officers add:

The suspects were arrested several hours after the incident while at the vehicle in which they had part of their loot. Officers secured another batch of the stolen property at an apartment used by one of the perpetrators. The police then determined where the remaining cans from the break-in were located.

Those arrested are a 37-year-old resident of Bolesławiec and a 45-year-old resident of Lwówek County. The former is a repeat offender, so he faces up to 15 years in prison. The older suspect could be imprisoned for 10 years.
