American journalists from CNN selected just 35 types of dumplings from around the world. Among them are dumplings from Central and Eastern Europe, but, according to CNN journalists, they are known as Polish dumplings. Uszka are also on the list. CNN’s list includes, among others, ravioli, pelmeni, gyoza, dim sum, empanadas, khinkali, wontons, bawan and momo.
Traditional pierogi filled with cheese and potatoes, as well as with cabbage and mushrooms, also reigned supreme in Dąbrowa. There were several stalls, and long queues formed at them.
Proceeds from the sale of pierogi at one of the stalls were to be donated to the Ukrainian army.
