The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 25, in a building on Wańkowicza Street in Bolesławiec. The man wanted to jump from the second floor. Two fire service units, an emergency medical team and police arrived at the scene. Firefighters deployed an inflatable rescue cushion.
At one point, someone pulled the man back inside the apartment. As it later turned out, two young police officers had reacted that way. They were the ones who saved the man. The man was handed over to the emergency medical team and taken to the psychiatric hospital on Tysiąclecia Street for examinations.
