In Bolesławiec, a major investment involving the modernization of water infrastructure is getting underway. Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji „Dolina Bobru” has announced that the construction site has been handed over for the reconstruction and expansion of the water supply network in the area of Staroszkolna Street. The aim of the work is to improve safety and ensure continuity of water supplies for residents of this rapidly developing part of the city.

The construction work will be carried out by PKUWiM „Meliobud” Sp. z o.o. The investment is scheduled for completion on July 31, 2026. The entire project is being financed from the own funds of PWiK „Dolina Bobru”, and the value of the project is PLN 399 750 gross.

These streets will benefit from the investment

The modernization is intended to directly improve conditions for residents of the Piastów neighborhood. In particular, it concerns the areas around the following streets:

  • Jana Pawła II
  • Wańkowicza
  • Gałczyńskiego
  • Staroszkolnej.

A response to the city’s development

As the company emphasizes, the investment is a response to the intensive development of this part of Bolesławiec. New residential buildings and the growing number of residents require the modernization of the existing network and an increase in its capacity.

The planned work is expected to provide residents with a more reliable system and better protection of water supplies in the future.

Possible disruptions during the work

Due to the implementation of the investment, residents may encounter temporary disruptions in the area where the work is being carried out. PWiK „Dolina Bobru” apologizes for any inconvenience associated with the construction work.

The investment is scheduled for completion at the end of July 2026.
