As reported by Gmina Bolesławiec, this year’s Harvest Festival will take place in Żeliszów on August 28. The local government says:
The event’s format has changed slightly, partly because there is less time than before to prepare the harvest wreath. This year, instead of a competition, there will be a Presentation of Harvest Wreaths. This means that the villages will not judge one another’s work, although everyone who presents a wreath will receive the same cash prize.
The wreaths must be at least 1 metre and no more than 1.8 metres high and have the traditional shape of a crown. Villages that decide to take part in the Presentation of Harvest Wreaths must confirm their participation by phone by June 30 (Beata Widera – tel. 782450211).
Two evening stars will perform on the municipal stage:
- Danzel, a Belgian vocalist best known for the hit “Pump It Up!” and the winner of the 16th edition of the Polsat show “Twoja Twarz Brzmi Znajomo”;
- Stefano Terrazzino, an Italian dancer, singer and actor who also won the final of “Twoja Twarz Brzmi Znajomo” (in 2015, in the third edition).
