To begin, we invite you to the Ceramics Department, where the exhibition “Kłodzko Artistic Glass from the Second Half of the 20th Century from the Collection of the Kłodzko Land Museum in Kłodzko” will open. It will feature vessels and unique decorative forms made of soda-lime glass and crystal, designed by leading Polish artists working in this medium. Following the opening (5:30 p.m.), Lucyna Świst, senior curator at the Kłodzko Land Museum, will lead a curator’s tour of the exhibition. Visitors will then be able to take part in glass-painting workshops (5:30–7:30 p.m.), a glass-engraving demonstration (6:00 p.m.), and a stained-glass demonstration and workshop (8:00–10:00 p.m.).
City History Department (14 M. Kutuzowa Street), 7:00–10:00 p.m.
Lovers of painting, artistic glass and ceramics are invited to the City History Department (14 M. Kutuzowa Street), where two exhibitions will open simultaneously. The first, entitled “Fascinated by Nature,” presents the work of two women from Bolesławiec: Irena Braszko (oil paintings) and Barbara Macuga (stained glass as well as mosaics made of glass and semi-precious stones). Anna Stawiarska, a ceramic artist and lecturer at the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa, will lead visitors through the exhibition.
The second exhibition is another presentation in the “Friends for the New Museum” series, showcasing the latest acquisitions in the Museum of Ceramics collection. This time, visitors will be able to see ceramic objects donated by Zakłady Ceramiczne “BOLESŁAWIEC,” the Górecki family and Ewa Jankowska.
Ceramika Bolesławiecka Kalich (6 a Hutnicza Street), 9:30–10:30 p.m.
The grand finale of Bolesławiec’s Night of Museums 2022 will take place in the courtyard of the Ceramika Bolesławiecka Kalich factory. Spectators can look forward to a spectacular show using laser technology and video mapping. It will be accompanied by a story about the love between junior Carl Schumann, the son of the owner of a porcelain factory in Arzberg, and Johanna Gansel, the daughter of one of the representatives of a renowned family of architects from Bolesławiec.
The show will also include a presentation of ceramic decoration using the stamping method. Those interested will also be able to take part in the interactive game “Bolesławiec Architect.” Commemorative ceramic gifts will be raffled among the finale’s participants.
