The incident occurred on the night of 17–18 April on Prusa Street in Bolesławiec. At around 3:00 a.m., a municipal police officer monitoring surveillance cameras noticed a man who tore down the national flag and then walked around waving it and shouting profanities.
A municipal police patrol immediately went to the scene. The officers smelled alcohol on the man. The perpetrator was taken to the District Police Headquarters. As it turned out, he was drunk. He had more than one per mille of alcohol in his blood.
The Bolesławiec police are conducting further proceedings in the case.
