On 6 April 2022, in Bolesławiec, ZVON President Hans-Jürgen Pfeiffer, representing the Upper Lusatia-Lower Silesia Transport Association, and Museum of Ceramics Director Anna Bober-Tubaj and Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre Director Paweł Dul signed the relevant agreements. The agreements were signed in the presence of Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman, Lower Silesian Tourist Organization Office Director Jakub Feiga and Heike Uhe from the German-Polish Economic Cooperation.
It is worth recalling that tourism plays an important role in the Neisse-Nisa-Nysa Euroregion. To make it easier for residents and tourists to travel across the border by public transport, ZVON—in cooperation with Polish and Czech transport companies—introduced the EURO-NYSA-Ticket in 2004 and has continued to develop it ever since. One benefit of these efforts is that tourists and residents can use more than 700 railway and bus routes across the Polish-German-Czech area of validity with a single ticket.
The EURO-NYSA-Ticket is valid for one day, while in 2021 a ticket valid for three consecutive days and for one or more passengers was also introduced.
Since 1 April 2021, the offer has operated in a new form as the EURO-NYSA-Ticket+ (ENT+) ticket. The “+” added to the name refers to the new tourism component. Thanks to it, passengers receive a discount on admission or other tourism services in many tourist destinations upon presentation of a valid ENT+ ticket.
The following German tourism partners have already joined the cooperation with ZVON: Kulturinsel Einsiedel, the Municipal Museums in Zittau, the Görlitz Zoo, the Zittau Zoo, the forest railway in Bad Muskau, and Oybin Castle and Monastery. They offer a 20% discount to guests travelling with an ENT+ ticket.
On the Czech side, the tourism partners in the ENT+ ticket system are: Muzeum Českého Ráje v Turnově, iQLandia Liberec and the Town Hall Tower in Rokytnice nad Jizerou.
In the Polish area of validity of ENT+ are the Bolesławiec “Orka” Water Park, Kliczków Castle, the Living Museum of Ceramics, the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec and Termy Bolesławiec.
The benefits of cooperation for tourism partners in the ENT+ area of validity include increasing awareness of the tourism entity through accompanying marketing activities by ZVON in Germany and KORID or the Liberec Region in the Czech Republic, carried out jointly with the Lower Silesian Tourist Organization, as well as a stronger presence in their publications and communication channels. Using public transport in the Euroregion not only has positive effects on the climate, but also helps relieve pressure on parking areas at tourist attractions.
