Dear Parents!
The Gminne Centrum Kultury i Sportu in Nowogrodziec informs you that, due to the suspension by the Mayor of Nowogrodziec of the earmarked subsidy for the substantive activities of the Gminne Centrum Kultury i Sportu in Nowogrodziec, as of April 5, 2022, football activities for all children's and youth groups of the football section (Żaki, Skrzaty, Młodziki and Trampkarze) are cancelled. The teams are also withdrawn from sports competitions.
Sports activities for children are an important part of their development. A reader wrote to us:
We are devastated by this situation. My son and daughter have attended the Football Academy's training sessions from the beginning and looked forward to every practice. The coaches were wonderful, knew how to work with children and were adored. They travelled to tournaments and won. The children have their own kits and jackets with the Football Academy logo.
We wrote to the mayor, Robert Relich, asking him to explain the situation. On April 8, we received a laconic response from an official, Iwona Janiec:
In response to your inquiry of April 5, 2022, I inform you that the funds from the earmarked subsidy have been transferred.
As it turned out, funds for children's development can be taken away and returned after three days. All it takes is to mobilize the parents and write to the media.
We remind the mayor of a well-known saying in connection with this situation: "He who gives and takes away may go to hell."
We are pleased that children and young people in Nowogrodziec will once again be able to train with their beloved coaches.
