County: – This year, we received a higher amount, thanks to which more people with disabilities will benefit from financial support.

Applications for funding can be submitted to the County Family Support Centre in Bolesławiec. Funds will be granted there, among other things, for the purchase of hearing aids, incontinence pads, wheelchairs and breast prostheses.

People interested in professional activity can contact the County Labour Office. They may receive support, for example, to start their own business. An open call for proposals will be announced for non-governmental organisations to commission tasks related to vocational and social rehabilitation.

The allocation of the funds was positively assessed by the County Social Council for People with Disabilities, which advises the Starost on matters concerning people with disabilities.

Detailed allocation of PFRON funds for individual vocational and social rehabilitation tasks

Vocational rehabilitation (91,944)

  1. Granting people with disabilities funds to start a business, agricultural activity or activity in the form of a social cooperative (Article 12a) – 60,000
  2. Reimbursement of expenses for labour-market instruments and services for people with disabilities (Article 11) – 23,504
  3. Financing the costs of vocational training and retraining for people with disabilities (Articles 38 and 40) – 8,440.

Social rehabilitation (1,319,869)

  1. Funding participation by people with disabilities and their carers in rehabilitation stays (Article 35a, paragraph 1, point 7a) – 200,000
  2. Funding for sports, culture, recreation and tourism for people with disabilities (Article 35a, paragraph 1, point 7b) – 24,000
  3. Funding for the provision of rehabilitation equipment, orthopaedic items and assistive devices granted to people with disabilities under separate regulations (Article 35a, paragraph 1, point 7c) – 1,025,869
  4. Funding for eliminating architectural, communication and technical barriers in connection with the individual needs of people with disabilities (Article 35a, paragraph 1, point 7d) – 70,000

Vocational and social rehabilitation (853,360)

  1. Commitments concerning funding for the operating costs of occupational therapy workshops (Article 35a, paragraph 1, point 8) – 843,360
  2. Commissioning non-governmental organisations to carry out tasks related to the vocational and social rehabilitation of people with disabilities (Article 36) – 10,000.
