Health Minister Adam Niedzielski:

I decided that from March 28 two measures would be introduced—the first is the removal of the obligation to wear masks. A very important reservation here is that this removal does not apply to healthcare entities. [Uwaga! This is not the end of the easing of restrictions. From today the following are also abolished:

  • home isolation
  • quarantine for household members
  • border quarantine.

The minister added that both the international situation and the forecasts available to his ministry indicate that by the end of April there will be a reduction in both infections and hospitalizations.

What about a patient whose test shows coronavirus?

Such a patient will currently receive sick leave and will have to self-isolate at home. (They will no longer have to report it to the sanitary services).
