On Thursday, 8 April, a group of students from the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec left for a month-long placement in Leipzig. Thanks to an EU grant of nearly €68,500, students of the Landscape Architecture Technical School will have the opportunity to work at five renowned German construction companies. After completing the placement, they will receive Europass Mobility certificates, which will help them find work abroad.
The placement organizers will also make sure that the students do not get bored in their free time. The trainees will be able to explore Leipzig, learn about German history and culture, and visit the famous Leipzig Trade Fair. What is more, the students from ZSB will also receive more than €1,000 in pocket money.
“Our students are going abroad for placements for the eighth time,” says Jacek Jurkiewicz, director of the Construction School Complex. “The EU grants are getting larger every year.”
“For these young people, it is a school of independence,” the director says. “Every year, different students take part in the placements. And they always come back satisfied.”
“We are very happy that we have the opportunity to go to Germany for placements,” says Sylwia Chabiniak, a student at the Landscape Architecture Technical School. “We will certainly gain substantial professional experience there,” she adds.
At the turn of September and October, another group of ZSB students will go abroad for placements. This time, the trainees will travel to Latvia.
