Today brought a pleasant surprise. The Main Committee of the Olympiad of Knowledge and Skills in Construction published the results of the Regional Eliminations. Our two wonderful representatives – Adam Sawicki (class IV B) and Hubert Smętek (class III B) have advanced to the National Final and will represent us in Opole. Together with 88 participants from across Poland, they will compete for the titles of Laureates and medals in the 35th Olympiad.

This is not the end of the good news. ZSB:Ola Kwaczeniuk was extremely unlucky, as she scored 42.5 points, while 43 points were needed to advance. But Ola is in the third year and will certainly advance to the Final next year.
Our eight-person team took third place in the Regional Eliminations in Zielona Góra (district XI). We were beaten only by the “Budowlanka” schools from Zielona Góra and Poznań. But they are among the best construction schools in Poland. The strength of our district XI is demonstrated by the fact that as many as 23 people advanced to the Final – clearly the best district in this edition of the Olympiad.
