At three points in Bolesławiec:
- I LO in Bolesławiec, 11 Tyrankiewiczów Street;
- II LO in Bolesławiec, 60 Dolne Młyny Street;
- Primary School No. 4 in Bolesławiec, building at 5 Bielska Street
the collection of essential items is ongoing, including cleaning products, dressings, long-life food, as well as blankets, duvets, sleeping bags and bed linen.
The collection points coordinated by Bolesławiec County are open Monday to Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m..
However, volunteers point out that our assistance should be thoughtful. Items that are not suitable for quick distribution to refugees often arrive at the collection points.
We are collecting:
- LONG-LIFE FOOD:
canned goods, oil, sugar, pasta, flour, groats, rice, tea, coffee, sweets, UHT milk, canned vegetables and fruit (e.g. beans, peas, corn, pineapples, peaches), tomato purées in cartons, dried fruit, nuts; - COSMETICS AND CHEMICAL PRODUCTS:
shower gels, shampoos, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, protective creams, sanitary pads, nappies for children, laundry detergents and fabric softeners, dishwashing liquid; - DRESSINGS, especially for wounds and burns:
thermal blankets, sterile gauze, sterile compresses, knitted bandages, elastic bandages, saline solution ampoules, disinfectants, disposable gloves, sterile dressing slings, pressure bandages, dressing scissors.
WE ARE ALSO COLLECTING NEW BLANKETS, DUVETS, SLEEPING BAGS AND BED LINEN.
Some of the donated items will also be distributed among refugees from Ukraine who have already arrived in Bolesławiec County and received assistance here; in particular, these are cleaning products and hygiene products.
