The incident occurred on Tuesday, March 30, on Łukasiewicza Street in Bolesławiec. At around 11:00 a.m., an 18-year-old man approached a boy. Threatening to assault him, he demanded that the boy hand over his mobile phone. The police quickly apprehended the attacker. The man had repeatedly been in conflict with the law.
On March 31, at the prosecutor’s request, the court ordered the 18-year-old to be held in temporary detention for three months. The man is awaiting trial at the pre-trial detention centre in Lubań. He faces a sentence of up to 12 years in prison.
