The incident occurred on Saturday, February 12, after 10:00 p.m. The fire broke out in an apartment on the second floor. The building used to be a workers’ hotel many years ago. Some of the building’s residents went outside.
Firefighters evacuated a woman from the burning apartment. They provided her with qualified first aid, including oxygen therapy and thermal comfort. Several people were injured as a result of the fire. They were attended to by emergency medical teams. A total of 35 people were evacuated from the building.
Six fire service units were at the scene (3x PSP Bolesławiec, OSP Ocice, OSP Warta Bolesławiecka and OSP Nowogrodziec), along with two emergency medical teams, the gas emergency service, the building manager and police.
