Soldiers, residents and road workers joined forces at the Military Club in Świętoszów and donated blood for those in need. The blood drive was held, among other reasons, as part of the “Precious Blood” campaign, initiated by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways and the National Blood Centre.
Road workers:
Due to the current epidemic situation in the country, Regional Blood Donation and Blood Treatment Centres are recording a decline in the number of blood donors. Blood is a medicine that cannot be produced in a laboratory. Whether there will be enough of it depends on us.
And they add:
We began the blood drive in 2019, when we celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Central Road Administration. Since 2020, we have continued it under the slogan “Precious Blood”. Over the past three years, thanks to our quiet heroes—more than 6,000 of them—we have collected nearly 2,900 litres of blood and its components!
