Bronisław Wolanin is a world-renowned ceramic artist permanently associated with Bolesławiec’s Ceramika Artystyczna. The exhibition in Łomża is another presentation of his rich artistic output. The designer presented his vessels and ceramic paintings.

Wolanin is a ceramic artist whose work influenced the development of Polish ceramic design and artistic ceramics in the second half of the 20th century.

“Following his more than 40 years of achievements in designing functional objects, one can notice in their forms and ornamentation both inspirations from old stoneware […] and the softness of organic forms,” wrote Marta Krajewska in the introduction to the exhibition catalogue.

Bronisław Wolanin received many awards for his work, including the Minister of Culture and Art Award, a gold medal at the 5th International Ceramics Triennial in Sopot, the main prize at the International Trade Fair in Frankfurt am Main, and an honorary distinction at the International Biennial of Contemporary Mosaic in Buenos Aires.
