Infernal Agency has operated for years in key markets throughout Poland, including Bydgoszcz, the capital of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. Find out how we can help and why it is worth professionalizing extras services.

Extras from a trusted database

At Infernal Agency, we carefully select candidates for:

  • supporting roles
  • extras.

We support people of all ages, with diverse professional experience, different appearances and areas of interest. This has enabled us to create a very large database of extras—people ready to appear on the set of a film, television series or advertising clip, even in the smallest and most inconspicuous role. They often determine the credibility and atmosphere of a particular shot or scene. We make the work of casting specialists easier in cities such as Bydgoszcz.

Well-known films and television series in Bydgoszcz and the surrounding area

It is true that Bydgoszcz is not a cinematic “powerhouse” associated by everyone with countless film and television titles. However, as one of Poland’s larger cities, it has also made its mark in this field. This is not only because of the Camerimage International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography, which took place in the city on the Brda River from 2010 to 2018. Over the years, Bydgoszcz has regularly welcomed film crews that recruited extras locally.

Residents of Bydgoszcz follow reports about new film productions in the region, as they provide a wonderful opportunity to see the work of major screen stars up close and, at the same time, gain valuable professional experience on set. Here are the best-known productions filmed partly or entirely in Bydgoszcz and its immediate surroundings. Local extras also took part in them, lending the films and series a quality of local authenticity.

Agata’s Law

The TVN series “Agata’s Law” was broadcast from 2012 to 2015. The title character, lawyer Agata Przybysz (played by Agnieszka Dygant), came from Bydgoszcz and visited her father, Andrzej (Marian Opania), in that very city.

Four Tank-Men and a Dog

Did you know that part of the cult series “Four Tank-Men and a Dog” was filmed in Bydgoszcz in 1968? Thanks to the numerous reruns still broadcast on television today, viewers can see, among other locations, the Okole lock, St. Trinity Street and Rybi Rynek.

The Wedding

In 2021, the premiere took place of “The Wedding” by Wojciech Smarzowski, who had become famous several years earlier for a film with exactly the same title. Some scenes featuring, among others, Robert Więckiewicz and Agata Kulesza were filmed at the palace in Ostromecko, near Bydgoszcz. Some of the wedding guests were played by extras from Bydgoszcz, for whom this was undoubtedly an unforgettable experience.

Disco Polo

One of the more interesting Polish films of 2015 was “Disco Polo,” directed by Maciek Bochniak. Not everyone knows that parts of it were filmed on the stage of Bydgoszcz’s Opera Nova, which gave leading Polish actors—including Tomasz Kot, Joanna Kulig and Piotr Głowacki—the opportunity to visit the city on the Brda.

The Magic Tree

One of the best-known films associated with Bydgoszcz, where many scenes were filmed, is “The Magic Tree,” which premiered in 2009. This family film, featuring Hanna Śleszyńska, Agnieszka Grochowska, Eryk Lubos and Andrzej Chyra, is still fondly remembered by residents of Bydgoszcz who had the opportunity to take part in the production as extras or simply observe the filming up close.

Join the ranks of extras with professional support

If you would like to try your hand as an extra from Bydgoszcz or the surrounding area, contact Infernal Agency, based in Warsaw. For years, the company has successfully operated throughout Poland, engaging models, hostesses and extras for advertising and artistic projects.

Visit the website https://www.agencjainfernal.pl/, then click the Casting tab. To prepare your application, you only need high-quality photographs that accurately show your current appearance, followed by completion of the form. Provide:

  • basic details (first and last name, date of birth, telephone number, email address, residential address),
  • measurements (including height, weight and shoe size),
  • additional information (e.g. interests, distinguishing features, eye and hair colour).

Describe your experience and indicate the cities in which you would like to work. Using a single form, you can apply immediately for several roles (extra, supporting actor, model, host and others). Quite often, Infernal Agency helps the same person take part both in a photo shoot or advertisement and on a film set, or secure an occasional supporting role.

Recruitment is ongoing because the company supports film crews and advertising or PR agencies throughout the country, including in Bydgoszcz.
