It was very nearly a tragedy. Before 4:00 a.m., a 16-year-old girl jumped from a bridge into the Kamienna River in Jelenia Góra.

The current carried the girl several hundred meters farther. There, a police officer who entered the river pulled her out of the water. Firefighters also provided her with assistance.
It is not known what caused the incident. The soaked and hypothermic teenager was taken to hospital.
