A reader, Sebastian Solski, asked us to publicize the issue. When the snow began to melt, a huge hole formed at the Wykroty-Godzieszów intersection. High-voltage cables were exposed. Water is standing in the roadside ditches, and the culvert under the intersection is constantly getting clogged. “No one is interested in this,” Sebastian Solski says angrily. “I will not even mention that there is still no pavement there. When it rains, the residents of Godzieszów have no way to get to the bus stop.”
“The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways has reviewed the situation at the intersection along Road 94. The current condition is the result of damage sustained during the winter as well as works started and not completed in 2009. The reconstruction of this intersection has already been carried out as part of the construction of the A4 motorway,” Urszula Malinowska from the Wrocław branch of GDDKiA informed us.Urszula Malinowska When asked whether anyone would deal with the hole and the water standing in the roadside ditches, we received no answer.
It is known, however, that GDDKiA plans to build a pavement at this location. “The roadworks will be completed this year,” Malinowska assured us. We will return to the matter.
